Crooks Cemetery - Syracuse, Meigs County, Ohio

We (Jerry Ingels, Mark Ingels & Frank Ingels) visited the Crooks Cemetery on July 21st, 2013 as part of an ancestry and genealogy research trip in Ohio & West Virginia.  The cemetery is located in Syracuse Ohio, Meigs County and is on gated private property. It is in an over-grown wooded area near the residential intersection on Bridgeman St. and June St, north of 3rd St. There is a small, green street sign labeled "Crook Cemetery" at the entrance.

The marker for Crooks, William (1789-1870) and Ingels (Crooks), Eleanor (1794-1877) is the only stone left standing.  The rest are broken and/or laying on the ground. The stone wall that surrounded the area still partially visible, but mostly overgrown.
