HOLTON --- Elsie Mabel West, 91, Holton, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at a Holton nursing home.
Mrs. West had worked as a nurses aide in nursing homes and private homes. She also had worked in restaurants in Holton and Manhattan.
She was born Oct. 27, 1908, in Brown County, the daughter of Henry F. and Sophia M. Kranz Ingels. She attended a country school near Westmoreland.
She married George K. West on Oct. 29, 1958, in Atchison. He died June 4, 1991.
Survivors include a sister, Alma Ridgway, Holton.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Holton Cemetery.
Mrs. West will lie in state at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Holton, where family and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home before services Monday and go in procession to the cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, sent in care of the funeral home.
