Roy Theodore "Dory" Ingels, Maryville, 63, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at a Kansas City Hospital, where he had been a patient three days, after suffering a four-month illness.
A retired farmer, he was born February 4, 1913 at Hopkins, the son of the late George Ernest and Alma Holt Ingels. he was married December 24, 1933 to Leila Koger, who died May 16, 1964. January 17, 1966, he was married to Hildred Thompson Melton, who survives.
He had resided in Maryville for 10 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Pickering Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Tom Kagay, Shenandoah, Iowa; two grandchildren; one step-son, Claude Melton, Jacksonville, Illinois; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Ingels, Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Eunice Neidel, Independence; Mrs. Gladys Greenawalt, Kansas City; Mrs. Betty Brown, LaMirada, California, and Mrs. Doris Swinford, Burlington Jct.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Ingels, on June 27.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Allen and the Rev. Norman Lewis Officiating. Burial will be in the Clearmont Cemetery.
