Samuel Ingels and Phebe Ingels (Wilhoit) are twins.

Died -- INGELS -- at Fairview, Apr. 17, Mrs. Phoebe J. INGELS, a native
of Ohio, aged 77 years, 10 mos., 21 days. […one of the old residents of
this county and the mother of Thomas and George INGELS. While in feeble
health for sometime past yet, her death, which was the result of a
paralytic stroke was entirely unexpected…The funeral took place from her
late residence last Wednesday afternoon…] [from 4 May issue -- Phoebe J.
INGELS was born in the State of Ohio, May 29th, 1822. At the age of 22,
on August 20, 1844, she was united in marriage to Samuel INGELS in the
State of Iowa. Shortly after they settled in Oskaloosa, Iowa, where 10
children (4 sons & 6 daughters) were born to them. 3 sons and 4 daughters
are left to mourn…She leaves 22 grandchildren and 6 gr-grandchildren. In
the fall of 1875 they came to California for the benefit of her husband
and a daughter’s failing health. They settled in the home where she had
since resided. After only 6 months’ residence in the State and a little
over 4 months in their new home, the christian husband and father was
called from earth…2 years later the invalid daughter was summoned…]
